Beyoncé's summer-ready hairstyle is perfect for when she's gotta fan herself off.
The "Heated" singer recently kicked off her Renaissance Tour, opening in Stockholm, Sweden, with an unbelievable futuristic set and showstopping looks that commanded the stage. And in true Queen Bey fashion, she needed her glam also took center stage at the May 10 show. In fact, she debuted a fresh hair color, dubbed "sun-washed blonde," by her longtime stylist Rita Hazan.
"I love her when she is blonde on stage," the celebrity colorist told Vogue in an interview published May 11. "It's sexy, it looks amazing, and when she gives that infamous Beyoncé flip of the hair, I wanted to make sure the colors come through—and they do, beautifully."
Another reason for the Grammy winner's style change? Rita wanted to make sure the superstar was the main attraction.
"Because all of the dancers had platinum hair," the beauty expert noted, "I really wanted her to stand out."
The "Break My Soul" singer's finished look consists of honey-colored strands mixed with small touches of light brunette highlights. Turning to products from her own eponymous haircare line, Rita used her Breaking Brass gloss to tone, color and hydrate Beyoncé's hair.
For the Renaissance Tour, Beyoncé has been rocking her trademark waves with a middle part. Plus, it's clear that her new dye job pops against the sea of silver-hued bodysuits and rainbow-colored dresses she's donned on stage. And according to Rita, this is exactly the effect Beyoncé was hoping for, as the singer wanted to "give an extra wow factor."
"The stage is dramatic," Rita told People in an interview published May 15. "The dances are dramatic. Her music's dramatic. There's a lot going on, so I wanted to make sure you're looking at her all the time."
It's safe to say all eyes will always be on Beyoncé.
