I don’t know about you, but my “to watch” list is never-ending.
In addition to the comfort classics that get watched time and again, there is so much new and buzzy content across so many platforms it can be hard to keep up.
Sometimes, the best time to binge-watch might be while riding in a car, on public transit, or on an airplane. The problem with that is there’s not always WiFi to connect to or a strong cellular signal to rely on.
Thankfully, streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime, have created ways to let you download content to watch, wherever you are.
Watch this video to see how to download content from streaming platforms so you can watch any time.
Download movies to watch offline
Downloading content from streaming services is really simple.
To download content:
- Find the content you want to download.
- Look for the download option.
- It might be a button that says "download" or just a downward-pointing arrow.
The exact steps or download buttons might differ based on the streaming platform you're using.
Look for a downloads section on the app to easily find the shows or movies when you're ready to watch.
Double-check that the content downloads all the way! If the download doesn’t finish, you might not be able to enjoy the content. That was a lesson I learned the hard way a few thousand feet in the air.
Not all of the content on these streaming platforms is available to download, and some platforms, like Hulu, may require you to pay for a specific membership tier to download content.
Once it’s downloaded, the content will live inside the app for a limited amount of time. If you don’t watch the content before it expires, that’s okay! It’s easy to re-download.
If you're looking to consume content that doesn't require you to watch it, you can download music, audiobooks, and podcasts, too!
